Take part in the challenge Oct. 1 - Dec. 1Seventh grade visual art students are taking part in the 2016 Annual Wyland National Art Challenge, a nationwide art contest celebrating conservation. The challenge consists of 3 categories, a classroom mural, individual art, and individual photography. The contest begins Oct. 1, 2016. and runs through Dec. 1, 2016. The art challenge encourages classrooms and students from K-12 to participate by creating murals, artwork, and photographs that highlight environmental awareness. The Wyland Foundation takes great pride in our efforts to promote awareness of clean water and healthy oceans. Our ongoing conservation theme provides you a wide palette to explore the things we can all do for a healthy planet, including our water and ocean. Prizes Include: CLASSROOM MURAL CONTEST $1,000 for classroom art supplies, a winner in each category (K-4, 5-8, 9-12) will be awarded INDIVIDUAL ART CONTEST $1,500 Scholarship to a high school junior or senior, applied toward a four-year school or university $50 gift certificate for art supplies, a student from each grade level K-12 will be awarded INDIVIDUAL PHOTO CONTEST $1,500 Scholarship to a high school junior or senior, applied toward a four-year school or university New Camera (arv $500) One winner from among all photography entries will be chosen to win a new camera If you would like to look at former winners in the art gallery or would like more information please look up the link below http://www.wylandfoundation.org/artchallenge Rubric for Assignment:
