Students are working as individuals or with up to 3 partners on a phobia composition. Students will have one week to combine 4 different phobias into an aesthetically pleasing 2d piece. Students will need to write an artist statement that describes their choices and message in the creation of their piece. The selected 4 phobias will come from a list that I have created for them to choose from. I can not wait to see the originality of work created.
Students in 7th and 8th grade created Valentines cards for the men and woman that live at the Elmcroft Assisted Living Facility, in Marietta.
Students created realistic portraits using any real person as their subject matter. Some students chose their favorite musician, author, athlete, artist, or someone in their family to be the focus of their work. Students then selected the media they would apply to their work to give it the effect they were working trying to convey.
Bring in a photograph of....
You, a family member, a famous athlete, author, musician, or actor etc. We will be creating portraits next week. Make sure you have a sketchbook with your photograph. You may also have more than one person in the photograph you are working from.
Students are working on drawing self-portraits in proportion.
Students are drawing the entire anatomy of themselves from head to toe. The background must include at least 5 objects. Students need to show detail and use of the art elements and principles of design. Beginning visual arts students will need to draw a head and torso in proportion. |
